Italian matelasse knit - midnight/white

This Italian beauty is from a NY designer and is a mostly cotton, yarn-dyed, textured matelasse' knit. It has a stripey woodgrain design in blue-black and off white (PANTONE 19-1102, 11-4301...ish), the white area are raise and the blue-black areas are recessed. It is soft and cottony, and the weight and drape are similar to a doubleknit with 15% widthwise stretch. The reverse is a fine mesh backing that is not meant to be seen. Make a fabulous fitted dress, knit jacket, pencil skirt, knit suit, tunic, an upscale hoodie, etc. The drape has some body and the cotton blend is comfortable and versatile! Dry clean, or test first if you wish to hand or machine wash, and lay flat or hang to dry.
