This is a lovely quality 3-ply matelassé knit with a quilted cable stitch that has a wonderful, dimensional braided look. It is supple and soft with a dry, sweatery hand, and the color is magenta (PANTONE 19-2630). The quilted texture (1.125" horizontal repeat) appears on the face only, and the back is not really meant to be seen but has a smooth, flat knit stitch in the same magenta color. No lining is required, but of course you could choose to do so. It is medium weight and opaque with a soft drape and about 20% stretch widthwise and 10% lengthwise. Such a versatile fabric that is perfect for an upscale hoodie, a cardigan, pullover, tunic, sweater dress or skirt, jacket, etc. Hand wash, inside out, hang to dry (please test first), or dry clean. Iron on medium.
