From deadstock of the famous designer, this is a stunning and classic embroidered linen, a semi-opaque top/dress weight with some crispness in the drape and no stretch. The base fabric is a classic black with a plain weave, decorated with black embroidery that has a traditional French provincial motif. The 11" wide border along the left selvage features a scalloped edge and a floral wreath with a 2.25" horizontal repeat. The remaining width features a delicate embroidered flower design with a 2.25" vertical repeat throughout. You can orient your pattern to suit your vision. Make a spectacular dress, skirt, tunic, etc. Some styles will need lining or layering. Hand wash and hang to dry, or dry clean (please test first).
