French deadstock 'Chantilly flower basket' embroidered cotton voile *FLAW*

From French designer deadstock, this is a gorgeous quality embroidered white cotton voile with black embroidery. It is lightweight and semi-opaque with a scalloped selvage on both sides and no stretch. The incredibly beautiful "Chantilly flower basket" design has a 6.5" vertical repeat and measures 23.75" from the edge towards the center, along the right selvage. The decorative scalloped edge is emphasized by contrasting embroidery along each selvage and offers a great many design possibilities. Elegant and summery, this fabric is a perfect choice for a summer blouse, top, tunic, dress, skirt, etc. Some styles may need lining or layering. Hand-wash cold and hang or lay flat to dry, and please test first.
*FLAW* PLEASE NOTE: This fabric has flaws throughout, which are shown in the product images. Please look through all pictures carefully before purchasing. The flaws are a very faint stain which transferred from the previous layers of rolled fabric creating a shadow of the black embroidered design. While the flaw is visible throughout much of the white section surrounding the embroidery, it is not noticeable unless viewed on a white background. Lining with a nude color will diminish or in some places eliminate the appearance of the flaw.
