French 'floating yarn' novelty 'poly-silk' organza 1.75 yd

This lovely evening wear fabric is a sheer "poly-silk" organza woven (designed to imitate silk but contains no silk), accented with a cotton yarn that floats above and below the surface to create a pattern of randomized dashes. The yarns run widthwise, spaced about 1/2" apart. The organza base is a shimmering silver-gray and the yarn is a twisted blend of buttercup and soft white (PANTONE 16-0000, 12-0824, etc.). It is lightweight with a crisp drape and no stretch. Lay your pattern pieces widthwise or lengthwise to suit your design. The sparkly character of the organza doesn't really come through in the photos, but it's quite tasteful, upscale and very pretty! It is a special occasion fabric that would make a gorgeous wrap, transparent topper, dress overlay, poufy skirt, etc. Some styles will need lining or layering.
