MTM 'Selanik' organic cotton sweater knit - dry mustard 1.5 yd

From a wonderful supplier of organic fabrics, this 100% organic cotton ribbed doubleknit is soft yet quite substantial. It has alternating rib stitches running vertically on the face (.75" repeat) with a more plain stitch on the reverse and a lovely fringed selvage. Produced in Turkey for the Danish company Mind the Maker, the fabric is Oeko-Tex and GOTS certified, assuring organic fibers and non-toxic chemicals and dyes. It is a heavy and opaque sweater weight with about 10% stretch in both directions (although it's quite stable). It has firmness in the drape, a matte finish, and the color is dry mustard (PANTONE 16-1139 is close to the tone but the fabric is a deeper and warmer shade). Perfect for a cardigan, jacket, pullover, sweater dress or skirt, etc. Hand wash and lay flat to dry. 1.5 yds.
