The underlayer is a sheer poly woven, and the upper layer has a pattern of cotton yarns in cherry red, black, sand and mocha (PANTONE 17-1563, 12-0704, 17-1321). It is a textured mix of more opaque and more sheer areas. The stripes run vertically in a 5.125" horizontal repeat.
