This is a beautiful quality yarn-dyed matelasse' knit from a NY designer! The fabric has some surface texture and the weight and drape are similar to a doubleknit with 50% stretch in both directions (very stable though). The graphic diamond design features slightly raised sprucy green areas (PANTONE 18-5622) and black recessed areas, while the reverse is smooth and soft, but not meant to be seen. Make a fabulous fitted dress, knit jacket, pencil skirt, knit suit, tunic, etc. The drape has lots of body and it is soft, comfortable and versatile! Test first if you wish to hand or machine wash and lay flat or hang to dry.
