famous designer applique ruffle sheer - black

From a famous French designer, this fabulous poly chiffon novelty ribbon applique fabric is much more wonderful in real life! The base fabric is a sheer poly crinkle chiffon and strips of it are doubled to create a "ribbon" applique' that alernates with a black lace trim applique in stripes that go across the width of the fabric. Along one selvedge, large rosettes of the lace trim are sewn on to create a decorative border. The fabric is meant to be cut across the grain so that the rosettes are at the hem of your garment (I attempted to show that on the dress form on the left). It's quite drapey in either direction, and very sheer. It is dressy and feminine, and perfect as an overlay for a dress, skirt, tunic, over-jacket, etc. The poly chiffon feels and looks like silk. Dry cleaning recommended.
