Italian wool/alpaca fleecy woven - rasp/grape

Just in with a new group from Italian mills, this is a fabulous wool and alpaca blend fleecy woven with a brushed finish on the face of the fabric to give it an almost furry look. The reverse shows the complex weave of the fabric, a mix of red raspberry and grape fibers (PANTONE 18-2326, 18-3932) in a "fuzzy" diagonal. Cozy and warm, drapey and soft. It's perfect for a fun and casual indoor or outdoor jacket or fall coat. Choose a style with lots of seaming so that you can take advantage of the diagonal lines to create a chevron design, or choose a very simple pattern and create your own fabric by first sewing strips together in a chevron pattern, and then cutting out your jacket or coat. You could also try cutting it on the bias so that the stripes run vertically or horizontally...The possibilities are endless! Dry cleaning recommended.
