From designer deadstock and made in Europe, this is a stunning and classic all-wool coating, a truly reversible double cloth with a brushed surface and fuzzy texture on both sides. It is a substantial, mid-weight coating with firmness in the drape but very malleable. It has a very soft, fleecy hand and is very stable. The yarn-dyed windowpane design has a 4.5" x 6" repeat featuring holly berry red and true black with tweedy specks throughout, and the reverse is a solid black. The layers can be easily separated and edges finished using a slip stitch. This will allow for beautiful seams on both sides of your reversible garment. to create a truly reversible garment. This fabric is perfect for sewing the Balenciaga-inspired reversible coat from Kathryn's tutorial, which can be read HERE. Also, a beautiful choice for sewing winter dresses and skirts, warm trousers, formal jackets, toppers or vests, etc. Very limited yardage!
